Adoptee from South Korea (1973) searching for birth family

I am an adoptee, born in Daegu around 1973. For as long as I can remember, I've carried questions about where I came from. I was placed through a church-run orphanage. The records are incomplete, but I know I came from Daegu. I don't know much about my birth family. The adoption records mention a young woman who wanted more for their child than they could provide. I don't judge them. I understand that it must have been an impossible situation. Recently I started searching in earnest. Social media, DNA databases, adoption reunion registries — I'm casting as wide a net as possible. If you are my birth mother, or if you know someone from Daegu who placed a child for adoption around 1973, please know: I am doing well. I am at peace. I would love nothing more than to know you, but I respect whatever boundaries you need. Every time I see someone who looks like them on the street, my heart stops for a moment.
