Babajide — if you see this, your family in Ethiopia is looking for you

It has been 4 years since my brother Babajide disappeared from our lives. I refuse to give up searching. Economic hardship forced many in our community to seek opportunities abroad. Babajide, then 45, left with the blessing of the whole family. For the first 7 months, we received occasional calls. Babajide was working in landscaping in Minneapolis and seemed to be doing okay. They talked about sending money home, about eventually bringing us over. The messages suddenly stopped in 2023. The phone number was disconnected and we had no other way to reach them. What I miss most is Sunday mornings when the whole family would cook together. Babajide would be around 49 today. medium height, athletic build, with a distinctive walk.
