Have you met Rana from Aleppo? We were separated in 2013

I lost my brother Rana during the evacuation of Aleppo in 2013. The crowd swallowed them whole. The refugee camp became home for months before we could move on. Rana was with us until the very last moment before the bombing of our neighborhood. I remember Rana as someone who always kept the family spirits up. I cherish the memory of the smell of fresh bread that would fill the kitchen every Saturday. A friend saw them around 2024. The Red Cross/Red Crescent had no records. UNHCR tracing turned up nothing. Rana would now be approximately 19 years old. I would recognize them anywhere — medium height, athletic build, with a distinctive walk. The not knowing is worse than any bad news could be.
