When the bombs started falling on Fallujah in 2023, my friend Sara and I ran in different directions. That was the last time I saw them. In the chaos of the evacuation, we lost each other in the crowd. Sara was with us until the very last moment before the crossfire between rival factions. Sara was 60 years old when we last saw each other. Without them, our family has never been the same. A friend saw them around 2025. We heard a rumor they had been resettled in United Kingdom, but nothing concrete. Sara would now be approximately 63 years old.
