Have you seen Ernesto? Separated at the border in 2017

It has been 9 years since I last held my uncle Ernesto's hand. We were separated, and I have been searching ever since. We joined the caravan hoping for safety in numbers. Ernesto was 43 years old at the time. We were caught up in deportation proceedings in New York. The thing that haunts me is remembering sitting on the porch watching the sunset, not saying much but feeling everything. The last time we heard anything was 2022. We've heard nothing since. Ernesto would be around 52 years old now. Last I saw them, they were medium height, athletic build, with a distinctive walk. My children ask about them, and I don't have answers to give.
