Looking for my friend Babajide from Nigeria — lost contact in 2009

Babajide, my beloved friend, left Kano in 1995. The distance was supposed to be temporary. It wasn't. The drought and famine left us with no choice but to seek help elsewhere. Babajide, then 37, left with the blessing of the whole family. Communication was sporadic but hopeful. Babajide described Leeds as overwhelming but full of opportunity. They were working hard, sleeping little, but always asking about everyone back home. Someone who knew them mentioned seeing them in 2009. The phone number was disconnected and we had no other way to reach them. Babajide was the kind of person who would make everyone laugh even in hard times. Babajide would be around 68 today. tall, around 6'1", slender, with a warm smile. My children ask about them, and I don't have answers to give. Please, if you know anything about Babajide, reach out.
