Looking for my sister Amina from Somalia — lost contact in 2015

My sister Amina set out from Baidoa in 2006 to build a better life. The plan was for the rest of us to follow. We never did, and somewhere along the way we lost contact. After losing everything in the flooding, migration was the only path forward. Back then, Amina was 47 years old and believed the separation would be short. Communication was sporadic but hopeful. Amina described Seattle as overwhelming but full of opportunity. They were working hard, sleeping little, but always asking about everyone back home. The messages suddenly stopped in 2015. We tried everything — calling mutual friends, reaching out to the diaspora community — but no one had recent news. I remember staying up late telling stories by flashlight when the power went out with Amina. Those are the memories I hold onto. Amina would be around 67 today. compact build, thick eyebrows, always well-groomed. The not knowing is worse than any bad news could be. Please, if you know anything about Amina, reach out.
