Looking for Ricardo — lost during border crossing 2015

In 2015 near New York, I lost the person who meant the world to me — my father, Ricardo. The economy back home left us no choice — we had to seek a better life. Ricardo had just turned 45 when it happened. The separation happened because of the sudden deportation order carried out in New York. The thing that haunts me is remembering the way they could fix anything with duct tape and determination. Our last contact was 2018. Since then, complete silence. Ricardo would be around 56 years old now. I'd recognize them anywhere — short and stocky, with a round face and kind eyes. My mother prays for them every single night.
