My daughter Maria — we were torn apart in 1998

This is my plea to find my daughter, Maria. We were separated near McAllen back in 1998 and I've been looking ever since. Gang threats forced the family to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Maria was 49 years old at the time. We were caught up in the chaos at the border processing center in McAllen. The thing that haunts me is remembering fishing trips to the river, where we never caught anything but always had fun. The messages suddenly stopped in 2022. After that, nothing. Maria would be around 77 years old now. I'd recognize them anywhere — thin and wiry, always moved with quick energy. The not knowing is worse than any bad news could be. If anyone has any information about Maria, please reach out. Any detail, no matter how small, could bring us back together.
