My family member Khalil, separated by war in 2014

When the bombs started falling on Herat in 2014, my family member Khalil and I ran in different directions. That was the last time I saw them. The refugee camp became home for months before we could move on. Khalil was with us until the very last moment before a barrel bomb attack on our street. Khalil was 52 years old when we last saw each other. We were inseparable before the war changed everything. The messages suddenly stopped in 2018. Someone told us they might have made it to Brisbane, but we could never confirm it. Khalil would now be approximately 64 years old. I would recognize them anywhere — tall, around 6'1", slender, with a warm smile. Not a day goes by when I don't think about them. If anyone has information about Khalil, I beg you to contact us.
