My grandmother Maria — we were torn apart in 2006

This is my plea to find my grandmother, Maria. We were separated near Los Angeles back in 2006 and I've been looking ever since. There was no work, no food, no future. The journey north felt like our only hope. At the time, Maria was just 11. Everything fell apart during the sudden deportation order carried out in Los Angeles. What I miss most is dancing in the kitchen to old records that belonged to our grandparents. The messages suddenly stopped in 2020. Every lead has gone cold. Maria would be around 31 years old now. I'd recognize them anywhere — average height, lean build, with curly black hair. Sometimes I hear their voice in my dreams and wake up reaching for the phone.
