Searching for Dolores, last seen near Los Angeles in 2021

In 2021 near Los Angeles, I lost the person who meant the world to me — my cousin, Dolores. The drought destroyed everything. The fields were dead and so was our hope of staying. Dolores had just turned 44 when it happened. Everything fell apart during the sudden deportation order carried out in Los Angeles. What I miss most is dancing in the kitchen to old records that belonged to our grandparents. The messages suddenly stopped in 2021. After that, nothing. Dolores would be around 49 years old now. Last I saw them, they were thin and wiry, always moved with quick energy. Every time I see someone who looks like them on the street, my heart stops for a moment.
