Searching for Valentina, last seen near Los Angeles in 2004

I'm searching for Valentina, who is my brother. We lost each other in 2004 and I have never stopped looking. There was no work, no food, no future. The journey north felt like our only hope. Valentina had just turned 48 when it happened. Everything fell apart during being detained at a checkpoint near Los Angeles. I remember the way they could fix anything with duct tape and determination with Valentina. The phone number stopped working around 2018. Since then, complete silence.
