Searching for Yolanda, last seen near Los Angeles in 1998

My heart has had a hole in it since 1998, when my grandmother Yolanda disappeared from our lives. Violence in our hometown made staying impossible. At the time, Yolanda was just 11. Everything fell apart during the chaos at the border processing center in Los Angeles. What I miss most is teaching me to ride a bicycle in the backyard. The last time we heard anything was 2023. Every lead has gone cold. Yolanda would be around 39 years old now. They were average height, lean build, with curly black hair, with a tattoo of a bird on the left forearm.
