I am an adoptee, born in Iasi around 2012. For as long as I can remember, I've carried questions about where I came from.
From what I've been able to learn, I was in the care of a state-run children's home in Iasi before being adopted.
My adoptive parents have always been open about my adoption. They told me what little they knew: that my birth family couldn't provide for another child. That knowledge has always made me want to reach out, not with anger, but with gratitude.
