Born in Cluj-Napoca, adopted to United States — looking for biological parents

In 2006, I was placed for adoption in Cluj-Napoca and raised in New York. I've always known I was adopted, and I've always wondered about my birth family. I was placed through a government adoption program. The records are incomplete, but I know I came from Cluj-Napoca. I don't know much about my birth family. The adoption records mention a young woman who was unable to care for a child at the time. I don't judge them. I understand that it must have been an impossible situation. Recently I started searching in earnest. Social media, DNA databases, adoption reunion registries — I'm casting as wide a net as possible. If you are my birth family member, or if you know someone from Cluj-Napoca who placed a child for adoption around 2006, please know: I am doing well. I am at peace. I would love nothing more than to know you, but I respect whatever boundaries you need. There's a hole in our family that only they can fill.
