Guatemala adoptee looking for biological roots — born around 1966

I was adopted from Guatemala City in 1966 and brought to Houston. My adoptive parents gave me everything I could have asked for, but there's a piece of my story that's missing. From what I've been able to learn, I was in the care of a private adoption agency in Guatemala City before being adopted. Growing up, I always felt something was missing. Not love — my adoptive family gave me plenty of that. But identity. Where do my eyes come from? My laugh? My stubborn streak? These are questions only my birth family can answer. I've connected with other adoptees from Guatemala through support groups. Some have found their families. I'm hoping I will too. If you are my birth family member, or if you know someone from Guatemala City who placed a child for adoption around 1966, please know: I am doing well. I am at peace. I would love nothing more than to know you, but I respect whatever boundaries you need. I still keep their photo in my wallet, worn and faded but precious.
