Looking for Layla — refugee from Kandahar, possibly in Australia

Jennifer Davis Australia , Melbourne ≈ 2007 4207 views
I lost my brother Layla during the evacuation of Kandahar in 2007. The crowd swallowed them whole. The refugee camp became home for months before we could move on. When the bombing of our neighborhood happened, everything changed in an instant. Layla was 15 years old when we last saw each other. Without them, our family has never been the same. The phone number stopped working around 2018. The Red Cross/Red Crescent had no records. UNHCR tracing turned up nothing. Layla would now be approximately 34 years old. I would recognize them anywhere — petite, around 5'2", with straight dark hair. I still keep their photo in my wallet, worn and faded but precious. If anyone has information about Layla, I beg you to contact us. We have registered with every tracing service we could find.
