Looking for Leila — refugee from Damascus, possibly in Canada

I am searching for Leila, my friend. We were living in Damascus when the conflict forced us apart in 2021. We walked for days through the desert to reach the border. When the siege that cut off all escape routes happened, everything changed in an instant. Leila was 16 years old when we last saw each other. They were the heart and soul of our family. The phone number stopped working around 2023. A fellow refugee mentioned seeing someone matching their description in a camp near Calgary. Leila would now be approximately 21 years old. I would recognize them anywhere — medium height, athletic build, with a distinctive walk. I still keep their photo in my wallet, worn and faded but precious.
