My daughter Maria and I were separated in 1995 during what was supposed to be a routine stop near Phoenix. That was the last time I saw them.
We had been living peacefully for years when everything changed overnight. Maria was 33 years old at the time.
We were caught up in a raid on the workplace in Phoenix.
What I miss most is playing soccer in the dusty field behind our neighborhood.
