Searching for Amadu, my mother who moved to United States in 2007

I'm searching for my mother, Amadu, who left Ibadan in 2007. We lost touch and I've been looking ever since. The conflict in our region displaced our entire community. Amadu, then 28, left with the blessing of the whole family. For the first 17 months, we received occasional calls. Amadu was working in laundromats in Chicago and seemed to be doing okay. They talked about sending money home, about eventually bringing us over. Someone who knew them mentioned seeing them in 2013. Someone from our community said they'd seen Amadu in Chicago a while back, but couldn't remember exactly when. Amadu was the kind of person who would light up any room they walked into. Amadu would be around 47 today. about 5'8", medium build, with dark hair and brown eyes. Every time I see someone who looks like them on the street, my heart stops for a moment.
