Searching for Andres in Chicago, lost contact since 2022

Andres, my aunt, left Ambato in 2017 heading for Chicago. That was the last chapter I know of their story. The economic crisis forced many families apart when members left to find work in the United States. Andres was 22 when they left. Strong-willed, determined, and full of hope. Communication was steady at first — weekly calls, photos of Chicago, stories about the new life. Andres seemed to be adapting well, working in agriculture, making friends slowly. A friend saw them around 2022. Life got complicated on both ends and the calls became less frequent until they stopped entirely. I still remember dancing in the kitchen to old records that belonged to our grandparents with Andres. I hold onto those moments like a lifeline. Andres would be around 31 now. average height, lean build, with curly black hair. I still keep their photo in my wallet, worn and faded but precious.
