Youssef is my sister. We have been separated since 2011. This is my last hope to find them. We walked for days through the desert to reach the border. Youssef was with us until the very last moment before the siege that cut off all escape routes. I remember Youssef as someone who would tell stories to the children to keep them calm during the bombing. I cherish the memory of the way they could fix anything with duct tape and determination. The last time we heard anything was 2011. We heard a rumor they had been resettled in Australia, but nothing concrete. Youssef would now be approximately 57 years old. I would recognize them anywhere — tall, around 6'1", slender, with a warm smile. Not a day goes by when I don't think about them. If anyone has information about Youssef, I beg you to contact us.
