In 2011 near Los Angeles, I lost the person who meant the world to me — my friend, Ana.
We had been living peacefully for years when everything changed overnight. Ana was 31 years old at the time.
We were caught up in the chaos at the border processing center in Los Angeles.
What I miss most is playing soccer in the dusty field behind our neighborhood.
A friend saw them around 2014. Every lead has gone cold.
Ana would be around 46 years old now. They were average height, lean build, with curly black hair, with a small scar above the left eyebrow from a childhood fall.
My mother prays for them every single night. If anyone has any information about Ana, please reach out. Any detail, no matter how small, could bring us back together.
