Please help me find my grandfather Hawa, last known to be in Chicago

I'm searching for my grandfather, Hawa, who left Kano in 2012. We lost touch and I've been looking ever since. A family member abroad promised to help, but the journey was longer and harder than anyone expected. Hawa, then 23, left with the blessing of the whole family. Communication was sporadic but hopeful. Hawa described Chicago as overwhelming but full of opportunity. They were working hard, sleeping little, but always asking about everyone back home. Someone who knew them mentioned seeing them in 2024. Someone from our community said they'd seen Hawa in Chicago a while back, but couldn't remember exactly when. Hawa was the kind of person who would light up any room they walked into. Hawa would be around 37 today. medium height, athletic build, with a distinctive walk.
