Have you met Karim from Kabul? We were separated in 2004

I lost my father Karim during the evacuation of Kabul in 2004. The crowd swallowed them whole. We were crammed into an overcrowded boat crossing the Mediterranean. During the shelling that destroyed half the city, Karim was separated from the rest of us. Karim was 6 years old when we last saw each other. We were inseparable before the war changed everything. A friend saw them around 2007. Someone told us they might have made it to Melbourne, but we could never confirm it. Karim would now be approximately 28 years old. They were compact build, thick eyebrows, always well-groomed, with always wore a silver chain necklace. Sometimes I hear their voice in my dreams and wake up reaching for the phone.
