Have you seen Ricardo? Separated at the border in 2017

My heart has had a hole in it since 2017, when my uncle Ricardo disappeared from our lives. There was no work, no food, no future. The journey north felt like our only hope. Ricardo had just turned 39 when it happened. We were caught up in crossing the border near New York. The thing that haunts me is remembering dancing in the kitchen to old records that belonged to our grandparents. The phone number stopped working around 2019. Every lead has gone cold. Ricardo would be around 48 years old now. I'd recognize them anywhere — thin and wiry, always moved with quick energy. My mother prays for them every single night.
