Help me find my family member Jose after 31 years apart

This is my plea to find my family member, Jose. We were separated near Los Angeles back in 1995 and I've been looking ever since. Gang threats forced the family to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Jose was 4 years old at the time. We were caught up in attempting to cross through the desert near Los Angeles. What I miss most is staying up late telling stories by flashlight when the power went out. We lost all communication in 2001. Since then, complete silence. Jose would be around 35 years old now. Last I saw them, they were short and stocky, with a round face and kind eyes. My mother prays for them every single night. If anyone has any information about Jose, please reach out. Even knowing they are alive would mean everything.
