Looking for my friend Ama from Nigeria — lost contact in 2013

It has been 25 years since my friend Ama disappeared from our lives. I refuse to give up searching. Religious persecution forced our family to flee. Back then, Ama was 20 years old and believed the separation would be short. We stayed in touch through phone calls and the occasional letter. Ama spoke of life in New York — the challenges of adapting, the loneliness, but also the small victories. The phone number stopped working around 2013. After that, silence. No calls, no messages, nothing. Ama was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off their back. Ama would be around 45 today. short and stocky, with a round face and kind eyes.
