Gabriela, my aunt, was taken from our family in 1996 near Los Angeles. We have spent every day since trying to find any trace.
Gang threats forced the family to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Gabriela had just turned 6 when it happened.
We were caught up in attempting to cross through the desert near Los Angeles.
The thing that haunts me is remembering the birthday parties where the whole block would show up.
Our last contact was 2020. After that, nothing.
Gabriela would be around 36 years old now. They were tall for the family, around 5'10", with an easy grin, with always wore a silver chain necklace.
The not knowing is worse than any bad news could be. If anyone has any information about Gabriela, please reach out. Our family will never be complete without them.
