Searching for my birth family from South Korea, adopted in 2006

I am an adoptee, born in Incheon around 2006. For as long as I can remember, I've carried questions about where I came from. From what I've been able to learn, I was in the care of a government adoption program in Incheon before being adopted. Growing up, I always felt something was missing. Not love — my adoptive family gave me plenty of that. But identity. Where do my eyes come from? My laugh? My stubborn streak? These are questions only my birth family can answer. I've connected with other adoptees from South Korea through support groups. Some have found their families. I'm hoping I will too. If you are my birth mother, or if you know someone from Incheon who placed a child for adoption around 2006, please know: I am doing well. I am at peace. I would love nothing more than to know you, but I respect whatever boundaries you need. I still keep their photo in my wallet, worn and faded but precious.
